This week’s meetup as always will start with general camera questions….The subject this week will be Street Photography and how it can make your everyday photography better…..Tips and Tricks on street photos..  We are scheduling another photo walk….very soon…the last one was canceled because I had a run in with a skateboard rider….causing a broken bone in my feet that morning…. good news the foot in much better and will be able to walk soon….. I will keep everyone posted….. We are setting up a photo walk at fort point…..it’s a great place to photograph…..it will be limited to 10 folks…..so if you have an interest be sure to email me at djdanfoley@gmail.com to hold a spot for you….It’s a free event….but you need to sign up to hold a spot…..oh your wondering about the girl photo….she was shopping at Samys and I had just got my new 105mm 1.4 Nikon Len…..this is one of the first shots………

From time to time it comes to you……what have I been doing…..I mean I seem so busy….no time for things that might be fun….you ask people hey you want to do something….lots of times the answer is….sure if I had the time…..Well thanks to 2 friends I was able to experience 2 things that I might have missed…..The first being a phone call from a friend asking me…..so do you know what today is…..and I said ya it’s Monday……and what’s the date…..I said August 29th…..2016…..as I stood there thinking I have got to get back to work……and my mind was a blank space……so he then said well what were you doing 50 years ago today……..feeling a little impatient said really  how do I know …… what I was doing……and then it hit me….OMG  it was August 29, 1966……and a well known band was playing their last concert…..at Candlestick Park…….and I was there……50 years…..how time flies…….so I took the time we went to a party to celebrate this event……I had a good time…….and now the other friend…..well we all know that some fun shows come to the City……and there is one now playing it’s call “Beautiful” it’s the story of the early years of Carol King……but because of that time thing you say….ya I would like to see it…..but you don’t…..well thanks to another friend who pushed me and even went out and got me the ticket…..and so I went to the show……..it was really breathtaking……the show was magic and really hit an emotional note right in my heart……making me remember all the things that were going on…..and all the people that we have lost in the last few years………and for the 2 0r so hours of the show it transported me back in time………and it was good…….so what am I saying…..make the time…..do it today……take a chance…..call an old friend…….but most of all just take the time………It’s a fleeting kind of commodity……never to happen again……….

It was late one day and I missed my train…..so while I was waiting I took out my fuji X 100 T…..  the tunnel was really dark…..so I just turned up my ISO to 12,800 and got this click…. it was hand held….and if you look along the rail….you can see my camera bag….it’s very windy at bart…and I drop the bag…..I looked down and before I could pick it up…..another train came along…..and it was gone……I go through a lot of small camera bags…….

The Last of the Mohicans…..  it’s the scene where he’s under the falls…..and the same area for the The Hunger Games…..

Last night Davey Pattison played Club Fox in Redwood City….. I really like the club it’s small and a menu to see an artist…..He was there with the new Gamma band.  It’s always a great time to see Davey Sing……  The Man Can Still Sing With The Best of Them…… There a few more shows ahead so check out the website for davey and come out for the fun……and of course the Rock & Roll……..It does not get much better……
