Valentine Day…… not my best day this year…….but remembering a dinner in Santa Barbara……That was a good Valentines Day….

Yep seems like I’m sitting in a dark again…….  The last week has been a rough week……  For reasons I will not share…….  So I have been killing time and filling empty  space and time….by going and hangin’ out drinking coffee… trying to find photos to shoot….. in most cases I really don’t go places to shoot a photo……because most of them are not to good…..  It’s the accidental photos …… spur of the moment that seem to make me happy…….and the old expression…. what’s old… Is new again…. so I have got my filters out….. my grad filter and got the this click of the boats……. this was a long time exposure…… it is what it is….

There’s always a reason I carry camera every place I go…..  Reason being it’s the only way you get the picture…..  You have got to have the camera with you……  No not your camera phone, but a real camera…..  This photo came about as I was sitting in one of my favorite coffee places…. Peets it’s in Emeryville….. this little guy suddenly appeared running around just having a great time…..  Today you have to be much more careful when taking photos of children….. that goes with the world we live in……sad to say….. but this little guy was just full of life as he ran along and raced by my camera and I got the click…….

A Couple of days ago…..  I helped a friend together we shot a small wedding….  Not one that shoots a lot of weddings…. that is kinda fun for me…  It was also a bit magical the coming together of two families and most of all the coming together of two people…….  It was a nice evening watching two people be in  love…..  It’s bad to go through life without that soul mate…… This is a photo about 2 hours before the party started…………

Well it was a raining Wednesday night……  Had been out shooting earlier that day  checkout  the boat photo….. then decided to stop by Lake Merritt Dance Center…… had a chance to catch up with a few old friends….. as I was leaving…. John & Jasmine walked by…. hey I had my camera….  Imagine that ……here is the click…..

Well, here we are… this is a Difficult week yesterday an friend  working friend die….. Lance was his name… I worked with him on some cruises… He was a wonderful dancer…. He will be missed… and the other tragedy in my life… is I seems I will  be moving forward in life….but without that life partner I have had…….It’s a funny world… so what do I do…… go take a photo…. this is a shipwreck… I have seen so many photos…. Incredible photos…..but I just wanted to get my own click…… And as Roland said… ” And the world moved on” 

Wow…. how time flies…. it only seems like yesterday…. now she talking…and of course giving orders… on how to put her toys together… I just love that hat….. Happy Birthday Dakota……

All those years ago……. Dad’s Point….Louis Park….and of course Pixie Woods… now not to many people can understand what this spot means to me… but for the summers of 64, 65, 66 and for 1967… lots of time was spent here…. summers on the beach water skiing… just hangin’…..My Father had a very cool boat…  Those were good years for me as young man….. chasing after the girls….  But they were hard to catch…..
